We’ve heard it a million times - video, video video. It’s where online marketing is at! The truth is that YouTube accounts for ⅔ of all online videos, but only 9% of small businesses have a YouTube channel. Which is why it’s time for you to start taking advantage of YouTube and create your own jewelry channel.
Creating a Channel
Once you’ve created a YouTube channel, you need to make sure your homepage matches your website’s branding. Match your brand’s colors, photos and header images. YouTube is another marketing vehicle which should align with your overall content strategy. You should pick a video concept and stick with it. Are you creating how-to videos? Product videos? Customer testimonials? Whatever your strategy is, it should remain consistent.
Post Videos on a Consistent Basis
Just as your other social media channels, your YouTube channel should use a consistent framework. Whether you post a video once a week or once a month, it should be at the same time, each time. Choose a day of the week and stick with it. If Tuesdays are the day you post, make sure you always post on Tuesdays.
Posting once a week gives your viewers a weekly reminder of your business. Send emails, post reminders and send out messages to remind your followers about each new video posting.
Listen to Your Viewers
Reading and taking comments seriously can help boost your videos, and your business! Yes, there’s always going to be those hecklers out there who leave nasty comments, but generally you’ll find comments to be helpful, honest comments that can help you improve. Don’t neglect these comments.
Cross-Promote Your YouTube Videos
It’s not good enough to just post videos and let them do their thing on YouTube. You should be cross-promoting your videos across all your social media channels. Place them in blog posts, partner with other brands and ambassadors, post on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and send them out in email newsletters. The more views you can get on your videos, the more your business has the potential to increase.
Remember the key to YouTube videos is great content on a consistent basis. Put your jewelry business in the spotlight and start gaining those views.
