If you’re not using Google Analytics for your website, you’re missing out on a great opportunity to monitor and analyze your activity. Google Analytics (GA) is a fantastic tool for gaining insights on your website’s traffic, and it’s FREE! Here’s how to set it up in less than 15 minutes!
Create a Google Analytics Account.
All Google accounts are connected to one account, and Google Analytics is no different. Make sure when you sign up for Google Analytics that you’re using the email you want it to be attached to.
After you’ve signed up, you’ll start filling out your business info for your website.
Once you’ve finished the signup process, you’ll have to agree to Google’s conditions.
Collect and Add Your Tracking Code
Once you’ve finished the sign-up process, you’ll have to agree to Google’s conditions. You’ll then be taken to the ADMIN section where you can view your Tracking ID to install inside your website.
Installing your code depends on what platform your website runs on. Here is a list of platforms and a tutorial on how to add your code. This helps you finish the installation process and show you exactly how to insert your code into your website:
Add Google Analytics to my 3dcart
Add Google Analytics to my HTML Website
Add Google Analytics to my Shopify
Add Google Analytics to my Square Space
Add Google Analytics to my Woo-Commerce
Add Google Analytics to my WordPress
Add Google Analytics to my Wix
Once you’ve installed your code, give it a bit of time before you see the results on Google Analytics.
TIP: If you run your website on Wordpress, there are plugins that can do this entire process for you.
And that’s it! You’ve just successfully added Google Analytics into your website and can start tracking and monitoring its traffic!
